- Built and operated by the
Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), EOTec
offers the proven Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) and
Geostationary Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV) which are launched from
ISRO’s their world-class facilities in Sriharikota,
India.
- PSLV can launch
1,200kg-class remote sensing satellites into a polar sun-synchronous
orbits while GSLV is designed to launch 2500kg INSAT- class satellites
into geosynchronous transfer orbits.
- PSLV is a four-stage
vehicle that is 44 meters tall
and weighs 295 ton. In its normal configuration,
the PSLV has six strap-on booster motors around
the first stage.
- GSLV is also a four-stage
vehicle but the upper
stage is cryogenic and is 49 meters tall
